THE “B” WORD FORMULATING
YOUR BUDGET
Do A Little Wiggling…
Through the
years we’ve learned to give all of our customers this piece of
advice: what you build always seems to cost more than you thought
it would.
It’s the log home version of Murphy’s Law of the
Buffet Line (you know, you always seem to pile on a lot more food
than you can eat?).
So we suggest that you make a working budget that’s
5-10% less than your maximum budget. That will leave you a little
wiggle room to add things you might want or need during the project.
And, hey, if you finish under budget, you can buy
all those plastic flamingos you wanted to finish off your front yard.
