Fallen Firefighter Solomon Project:
HELP APPRECIATED!

Steven Solomon, Fallen Firefighter lost his life due to extensive burns on Thanksgiving Day of 2006. His service was exemplary and he was loved and will be missed by all those who knew him and we want to keep his memory alive.

A National Work Day to begin the Barna Log Home building process for Fallen Fighter Solomon’s Children Kenneth and Kennard will be Saturday, September 8th in Lizella Georgia (Near Macon), beginning at 7 AM. All assistance and help will be appreciated. Monetary donations for this project can be made to the Gold Shield Foundation (501C3) in Atlanta Georgia through Chief Nish Willis, who can be contacted at 404-391-5342. Her email is chief_nish@yahoo.com or visit www.goldshieldfoundationofmetroatlanta.com. Physical labor, tools and other materials are needed.

Everyone’s time and prayers are appreciated for this project as we are all a team determined to help. Firefighter’s everywhere can come during this Barna Log Home building process and anyone else is welcomed to participate in any capacity! (Save www.bestloghomes.com for ongoing progress and updates as we move ahead!)

For the record, as Distributor’s for Barna Log Homes, LLC, Gary, Georgia and Rachel, along with the City of Atlanta Fire Department Chief Nish Willis and her personnel and the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department personnel have assembled together in an effort to see that a log home is completed for these children. Barna donated the log elements and floor beams and freight and Green River donated Windows and Doors. We have donated our commissions and time and several other companies will be listed in an ongoing effort to show appreciation and give them the recognition for their donations as well.

Come one, come all and help us build them a beautiful Barna Log Home! We can be called for any questions or to sign up to work or to make material donations at 706-663-7663. Our email is georgia@bestloghomes.com and we thank you reading about our special project!

From all the pictures one must know how committed we are to see this project through. We are working hard stacking logs, cutting in the heavy timber beams and keeping the property improvements going. In the past few days much has happened and much more is ahead of us! Both the Macon-Bibb Firefighter’s and the City of Atlanta Firefighter’s are coming each day by the numbers to do a long days work! You can see the results are stacking up! Call or email us if you can help in any way. We are all very blessed to have the continued support on this very special project. We believe in safety and success all the way! Keep coming back and look for the next National Media and Work Day!

Blessings,

Georgia and Gary and Rachel and ALL involved!

Update - 9/11/2007

We want to thank Rick Benetiz Photography (Retired Firefighter for the City of Atlanta) for offering to be there and help out by capturing all the teamwork and showing all the proud efforts of many Firefighters, Chiefs, and others who came together to make this a very eventful day to honor Fallen Firefighter Steven M. Solomon.  Rich Benetiz was also responsible for the photography of his memorial photo that is shown at the beginning of our story.  Come one come all and sign up and help make a difference.  We still need items, materials and money to help continue our success.

Blessings,

Georgia and Gary and Rachel and ALL involved!
