Roger and Laura Ferguson
Arizona

From the Desk of Georgia Kelley...

The Fergusons are down to earth people with a beautiful family. One of the first things we notices when we arrived in Pine, Arizona for the Ferguson's delivery day, was how precious the Ferguson children are to one another. Their daughter Kahlia and I build a beautiful rock garden with rocks and wood we collected. Their property in Pine Arizona was full of beautiful items and we enjoyed hunting and choosing the best selection! Their Son, Hunter was busy with us too.

The Fergusons opened up their family cabin and gave is a place to stay the day before their log home was to be delivered. Their hospitality was awesome and we felt very blessed to be a part of this exciting time of their lives.

Update, May 2007

Roger really got a lot accomplished this weekend. The cabinets are now in, almost all of the tongue and grove is done, the drywall is all complete so its really moving. I will go back up on the 7th for about 6 days and stain some more and probably sand the logs to get hem ready to stain.

I'm attaching some more pics so you can see how it's coming now. We are getting really excited!

Update, April 2007

I thought I would sit down and write you and update on the cabin . We had our combo inspection last week and everything went really well. We made some decisions that helped us to move along a little faster.

We hired the plumbing and electrecal out. Roger didn't want to have to deal with figuring out stink pipe issues and things like that so we had it done. We got a fairly good price and it was well worth it to me for him not to have the headaches and worry.

We also decided to add central ac and heat and had that installed. It was also a good quote and I'm sure it is something we will really appreciate down the road especially in the summer.

Since the inspection we started sheeting the walls. We have ordered the tile for the kitchen and the cabinets as well. We already have the vanities for the powder room and upstairs bath. I haven't been able to find one for the master bath that I really like because of the odd size it has to be. I found one that is 48" that I really liked but I didn't want to pay $2,400 for it without seeing it in person. I showed a picture of it to Bill down the road and he says he and Roger can build it for a fraction of the cost and probably out of better materials.

We are hoping to be done by August it should be close. It is exciting getting all the fixtures and to make sure everything matches and since I'm no interior decorator it can be a challenge, but we are enjoying it all the same.

Update, October 2007

Hi Guys,

I wanted to let you all know that we had our final inspection on Tuesday. WE didn't pass because of some minor things we didn't know had to be done. So Roger fixed them Wednesday and Thursday. The re-inspection was this morning and we officially have certificate of occupancy! We still have some minor things to do but at least we can take some of the furniture we have collected for the last year out our garage and move it up there. Thanks for all your prayers.

Love to all
Laura and Roger
